things i got out of reading joshua

• even if a season has ended, maybe the person, opportunity, relationship, or circumstance we depended on is no longer the same. joshua's story is a reminder that God isn't only the God of that previous season, but He is also a God of what is to come. that He is the God who carried me through that season and is actively guiding me towards the future
• God's works is not limited by what we could only see. He works even behind the scenes
• the israelites were stepping into something that was unfamiliar to them, but God was there to guide them because He had already gone before them. that's a good reminder for me that i shouldn't fear/worry when it comes to following where the Lord is leading me to. even if i haven't walked through that specific road, God already did. that's why i need to trust in Him and His plans for me
• it's easy sometimes to forget about what the Lord has done in my life. the twelve stones reminded me that i should remember and give thanksgiving for the moments God has sustained, corrected, comforted, and guided me through
